Originally published in 1991, the 8th edition was published in 2002. All editions combined have sold millions of copies worldwide in dozens of translations.
The Internet For Dummies Quick Reference, by John R. Levine, Arnold Reinhold, and Margaret Levine Young, published by the Wiley Technology Group. The small, lie-flat version of the big book. The seventh edition (confusing titled "8th Edition -- that's publishing for you) was published in 2002.
Internet: The Complete Reference, by Margaret Levine Young, published by Osborne/McGraw-Hill. The 2nd edition was published in 2002.
Windows XP: The Complete Reference, by John R. Levine and Margaret Levine Young, published by Osborne/McGraw-Hill in 2001.An updated edition about Windows XP Home Edition is due at the end of 2002. The Windows XP editions are updated versions of Windows Me: The Complete Reference (published in ???) and Windows 98: The Complete Reference (published in ???). I was the lead author on all the updates.
UNIX For Dummies, by John R. Levine and Margaret Levine Young, published by the Wiley Technology Group. The 4th edition was published in 1998 (UNIX changes slowly) and an update in planned in 2003.
UNIX For Dummies Quick Reference, by Margaret Levine Young and John R. Levine, published by the Wiley Technology Group. I particularly like this book, which includes a command reference of the top 100 UNIX commanes. The4th edition was published in 1998.
The Internet For Windows Me For Dummies, by Margaret Levine Young, John R. Levine, Jordan Young, and Carol Baroudi, published by the Wiley Technology Group. This is an updated edition (published in 2000) of our earlier The Internet For Windows 98 For Dummies (published in 1998).
