The idea of a source of energy beyond ourselves is at the root of almost any religion. The abundance of energy (if one is open to it) is similar to the concept of "grace" in Peck's The Road Less Traveled. That a person's store of energy causes meaningful coincidences reminds me of Casteneda's notion of "personal power". Raising one's rate of vibration is another theosophical idea--one that aligns with 19th century physics (which looked on all forms of energy as vibrations in a material medium) a little better than it aligns with current physics.
